Affadavit of Amos Willison

County of Allegany
On the twenty seventh day of March A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty two, personally appeared
before me John B. Winenes a justice of the peace duly authorised to administer oaths within and to the
county and state
aforesaid, Amos Willison a _______ ___ a credible witness, yeo (yeoman?) 58 years a resident of said
county in the state
aforesaid who being duly sworn according to law declares that he was a private in the company
commanded
by Captain McLaughlin in the first regiment of Maryland Militia commanded by Col. Stoner
(in the war with Great
Britain declared by the United States on the 18th day of June 1812) - that he was
afterwards transferred to the company commander by Capt. Lowry
that he knows James Bryan of Fayette County in the State of Pennsylvania formerly of said County of
Allegany
in the State of Maryland that he, said Amos Willison knows that said James Bryan served as a private for about
six months in the companies commanded by said Capts. Lowry and McLauglin and that said Amos Willison and said
James Bryan were honorably discharged at Annapolis, Maryland some time in the year 1815.
